These two ❤ Let’s just start by saying that when one of your second shooters calls you to shoot her wedding you get a little bit giddy! I was so honored that Katie wanted me to be a part of her big day especially since I know how well she understands all the ins and outs of a wedding day (and is a fabulous second to work with on all fronts). She and Matt are an infinite amount of fun – as was their wedding party – and despite some touch and go weather, they were both calm and clearly enjoying themselves throughout the day. The morning was full of beautiful details, sweet gestures, and funny moments that really set the tone for the rest of the day, and I hope for the rest of Matt and Katie’s marriage. I could go on and on about this couple and what a blast their wedding was, but perhaps it’s better to just let the pictures speak for themselves. Congrats and much love to the new Mr. and Mrs.

What’s not to love about a wedding full of such beautiful details, in a beautiful setting, with a beautiful couple? The correct answer is nothing, and I wasn’t the only one loving every moment of Brendan and Brett’s gorgeous day. These two are the epitome of a perfect compliment as a couple, and it shows clearly in their photos. They were absolutely enveloped by the warmth of their friends and family from parents and siblings to extended family to a large contingent from their alma mater. I don’t doubt that these two will continue to cultivate a wonderful community and beautiful relationship for many many years to come. I’m just honored that I could be there to watch them start this newest chapter together!

Though almost all weddings are wonderful and a blessing to be a part of, this particular day was especially sweet for me. The weather was beautiful (if a little hot), the details and decor were lovely, the guests and bridal party were lively and fun, but the real joy I found in this day was watching one of my oldest college friends marry the love of his life. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing and watching this couple grow in their relationship from the beginning, and I am so very happy that they’re ready to take on this new life adventure together. These two laugh often both at and with one another; a sure sign that they have a long and very happy future ahead. I, for one, am excited to see what that future may hold!
Congratulations and thank you for trusting me to be a part of such a beautiful celebration! ❤

I absolutely love living in Florida. Sure there are a few downsides — like the almost unbearably warm summers and the love bugs and the tourist/senior drivers — but there are so many incredible upsides! Kelsey and Joel’s morning beachside wedding beautifully illustrates quite a number of these. Sunshine, palm trees, the ocean, and a simply gorgeous fall day to name a few. And as if that wasn’t enough of a dream for a wedding photographer, this couple and their wedding party sealed the deal. Both the bride and groom come from the hospitality/entertainment/fitness industry so I knew from the get go that it was going to be an entertaining day. Despite the early morning “call time” (performer speak for when you need to show up somewhere) this whole crew was bubbling over with joy and excitement almost from the start, and I left their wedding reception with sincere gratitude that spending such a momentous day with amazing couples like Kelsey and Joel is what I get to call work!

There’s a lot of talk about love at weddings, and rightly so — they are a celebration of the very best in our relationships and family and the promise of a future to come. Mallory and Chris’ day was full of love and lovely sights and moments, but it was a wonderful reminder that there is so much more and that “love is a verb.” There isn’t much more to say about this beautiful couple or they’re perfectly picturesque country wedding. . . other than how incredibly blessed I feel to have been part of such a wonderful celebration, and that if I look even half as beautiful on my wedding day as Mallory did then I will be ecstatic. Mallory and Chris, the world is a brighter place because of the two of you. Thanks for letting me share a little piece of that!

Tradition says that rain on the day of a wedding is a good omen — depending on the source, it’s said to be a sign of fertility, renewal, and unity…which is all well and good, unless you’re having an outdoor ceremony in a location without a lot of indoor options. I have to give this couple props though! Despite the constant state of drizzle outside, both Summer and Joe were calm and rolled with the last minute changes and adaptations to their plans. Not that I’m particularly surprised — you may recognize these two from their engagement session last summer — this couple is so grounded in their love for one another. Gorgeous details, an energetic wedding party, and a happy crowd of family and friends helped make the day perfectly lovely despite the weather. I think it’s an even better omen that we were rewarded at the end of the evening with a gorgeous spread of sunset colors. Congratulations and here’s to many anniversaries (rainy and otherwise)!

Anyone who’s been to, worked at, or planned a wedding knows that it can be a stressful day. So many details to plan, vendors to coordinate, times to remember. . . if you’re not careful the craziness can start overwhelm the beauty and joy of the day. For Brittany and Colten, though, that was never a concern; from our very first meeting and mini-session together, I fell in love with this couple’s easy-going nature. Even the weather on their wedding day cooperated with early morning clouds that gave way to clear sunshine, and a beautiful breezy late afternoon despite Indiana’s normally scorching July temperatures. To top it all off, the day was filled with plenty of smiles and entertainment from among Brittany and Colten’s family and friends. If wedding days are any indication of the future, then Brittany and Colten’s clearly shows that they will have a happy and sunshine filled marriage surrounded by loved ones. Congratulations!
