Tradition says that rain on the day of a wedding is a good omen — depending on the source, it’s said to be a sign of fertility, renewal, and unity…which is all well and good, unless you’re having an outdoor ceremony in a location without a lot of indoor options. I have to give this couple props though! Despite the constant state of drizzle outside, both Summer and Joe were calm and rolled with the last minute changes and adaptations to their plans. Not that I’m particularly surprised — you may recognize these two from their engagement session last summer — this couple is so grounded in their love for one another. Gorgeous details, an energetic wedding party, and a happy crowd of family and friends helped make the day perfectly lovely despite the weather. I think it’s an even better omen that we were rewarded at the end of the evening with a gorgeous spread of sunset colors. Congratulations and here’s to many anniversaries (rainy and otherwise)!
