We are so excited to share this super fun winter session! Jessica and Lillian are the epitome of Generation Z — energetic, moving a million miles a minute always, and completely plugged in to their social media. These two also have an incredible, and totally of this era, story — they met through Instagram because of their mutual love for CheerLyfe (an online retail line that strives to “deliver the most stylish apparel at the highest quality to cheerleaders, dancers, families and the industry professionals” and recruits spokesmodels like these two to promote CheerLyfe products through their personal social media channels) and have since become the best of friends. The day of our session was actually their very first time meeting in person as they live in completely different states (Florida —-> North Carolina), so that made the whole shoot even more momentous.
We asked the girls how they first connected and feel about each other, and their responses were almost identical:
We both absolutely loved CheerLyfe. . . from there we hit it off. We text and FaceTime every single day. She is my best friend in the entire world. what I love most about her is her kindness. She is the sweetest person I know. she has a wonderful sense of humor, and I am grateful to be her friend!
We met through CheerLyfe and just started talking and it turned into everyday FaceTimes! I love how sweet and kind she is, and I know she would do anything for me!
We had a blast meeting these two and are already looking forward to future collaborations (*hint hint) as they continue to build both their friendship and individual platforms! ❤

It’s so great to work with clients who are willing to have a little fun during their session. It’s also a treat to capture some less than stuffy head shots for professionals in all fields. Mirella and Luis contacted us to get some updated shots for their new website, and I certainly hope we’ll get to work with them again very soon! Also, how great is downtown Winter Park? 🙂

So I have to confess that the Alfond Inn is quickly becoming one of my new favorite places to shoot, especially on days when the Florida sky threatens rain. I’ve driven by for years on my way too and from home, but until recently hadn’t spent much time inside. From the constantly changing art on the walls to the beautiful garden spaces, the Alfond is great for a weekend getaway or a quick maternity session. These two were super flexible and adorable — you can just see how excited they are about the newest addition to their family! Congratulations — we can’t wait to meet your little one in a few months!

We see a lot of beautiful smiles, but this little guy may have the winner! Mom was the best at getting him to open up, and he wasn’t the least bit interested in my camera, but we still managed to get a few great family shots. These guys were gorgeous and so fun to work with throughout their session. I hope a few of these end up hanging on their walls.

I met this lovely family for their mini-session in gorgeous downtown Winter Park, and we were blessed with absolutely perfect fall weather on the day after a hurricane blew right up the eastern coast. The littlest member of this family was a bit shy, so I really had to work to get even a few real smiles. But can I share a secret with you little Miss A? Stolen smiles are my most favorite. I only wish our time together hadn’t been quite so short!

I just adore this family. You’ll probably recognize them from the past few years of sessions which started just before Ryan was born. Watching this little family change and grown has been a true blessing. Plus, they’re some of the easiest folks to photograph. When we met for a session in anticipation of baby sister Harper, big brother Ryan was not having it at first (as you can see from a few of the pictures near the middle of this post)! But after a little warming up, he came around, and we captured some beautiful moments of the three (*four) of them all together. I’m not the only one excited to meet their newest addition!
