Part of this gorgeous summer was even more stunning thanks to this beauty! Jacquelin was incredibly easy to work with and tolerated all of my crazy suggestions — “give yourself a hug, lie down on this log, look thoughtfully off into the distance” — so graciously. I’m excited to watch where this lady goes next, and I can only hope I’ll be able to get her back in front of my camera again soon. Congratulations and here’s to a fantastic senior year!

Sessions with past wedding couples are one of my favorite things. Weddings are magical and beautiful, but taking time to do an anniversary session a year after the big day can be a chance for a more relaxed experience. I love that an anniversary shoot is also an opportunity for a couple to reconnect and reminisce about their first year or marriage. These two were such a treat on their lovely wedding day AND during our twilight summer session. What a treat to see both their little family and their beautiful relationship growing month by month!

What’s not to love about a wedding full of such beautiful details, in a beautiful setting, with a beautiful couple? The correct answer is nothing, and I wasn’t the only one loving every moment of Brendan and Brett’s gorgeous day. These two are the epitome of a perfect compliment as a couple, and it shows clearly in their photos. They were absolutely enveloped by the warmth of their friends and family from parents and siblings to extended family to a large contingent from their alma mater. I don’t doubt that these two will continue to cultivate a wonderful community and beautiful relationship for many many years to come. I’m just honored that I could be there to watch them start this newest chapter together!

Though almost all weddings are wonderful and a blessing to be a part of, this particular day was especially sweet for me. The weather was beautiful (if a little hot), the details and decor were lovely, the guests and bridal party were lively and fun, but the real joy I found in this day was watching one of my oldest college friends marry the love of his life. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing and watching this couple grow in their relationship from the beginning, and I am so very happy that they’re ready to take on this new life adventure together. These two laugh often both at and with one another; a sure sign that they have a long and very happy future ahead. I, for one, am excited to see what that future may hold!
Congratulations and thank you for trusting me to be a part of such a beautiful celebration! ❤

I’ve been trying to get Kristen and Jason in front of my camera for a few years now, and every other time I’ve been in Michigan we haven’t been able to make it happen because of our crazy-busy schedules or the fact that it was sleeting/snowing/miserable outside. Finally though, we stole a few moments. And goodness I’m so glad it did. Lucky for us they live in a beautifully tree-lined neighborhood and evening summer light in Michigan is beyond lovely. I even snapped a few with their wild and lovable pups and of the house that they’ve been slowly renovating/flipping since they moved in. Fingers crossed that this won’t be the only time I get to photograph my lovely friends!

It is every wedding vendor’s not so secret wish to have brides (and grooms) who are calm, nonplussed, and kind no matter the circumstance, and in all regards Katelynn was a dream. From our first meeting, I knew that Katelynn would be a breeze to work with, and the way Pierce lights up every time he looks at her says more about their relationship than words ever could. Their day was full of beautiful details and plenty of laughter — as I can only imagine their married life together will be!

Since I’ve had the advantage of knowing Nick & Carrie for a few years, I was certain their engagement session would be a breeze. And it was! We were lucky to avoid most of the rain showers and even got some great photos on campus at Alma College where these two first met. A few of my favorite things about this adorable duo: the way Carrie’s nose wrinkles when Nick makes her laugh, the absolutely absurd things Nick does to prompt that laugh, and how willing they were to give every goofy idea of mine a try. I was thrilled when they called me about setting up an engagement session, and I absolutely can’t wait for their wedding next year! I’m so happy for you two — here’s to many more years of fun and laughter.
