So I have to confess that the Alfond Inn is quickly becoming one of my new favorite places to shoot, especially on days when the Florida sky threatens rain. I’ve driven by for years on my way too and from home, but until recently hadn’t spent much time inside. From the constantly changing art on the walls to the beautiful garden spaces, the Alfond is great for a weekend getaway or a quick maternity session. These two were super flexible and adorable — you can just see how excited they are about the newest addition to their family! Congratulations — we can’t wait to meet your little one in a few months!

I just adore this family. You’ll probably recognize them from the past few years of sessions which started just before Ryan was born. Watching this little family change and grown has been a true blessing. Plus, they’re some of the easiest folks to photograph. When we met for a session in anticipation of baby sister Harper, big brother Ryan was not having it at first (as you can see from a few of the pictures near the middle of this post)! But after a little warming up, he came around, and we captured some beautiful moments of the three (*four) of them all together. I’m not the only one excited to meet their newest addition!

One of the very best things about this job is getting to share (if only for a moment) in so many exciting events and stories in my clients’ lives. Amanda and Ryan’s session really made me realize that in a unique way. I met Amanda several years ago back in Michigan, and by a series of happenstance occurrences we’ve both ended up living in central Florida now. So of course, I was thrilled when she messaged me to talk about maternity and baby photos. These two were a great couple to work with — easy-going, loving, and totally comfortable in front of the camera. Plus, it was obvious just how excited and ready they are for baby Ryan to arrive. I had a hard time narrowing down choices for their blog post, and I’m sure that means we’ll have just as many stunning images once their little one arrives! I can’t wait to meet him!
