Kendall – Class of 2018

Senior Session  |   Indianapolis, IN  |  August 2017

It’s beyond time we got caught up on blog posts from a year of incredible sessions and weddings! So to get the ball rolling, naturally, we turn to family. ❤ It’s impossible to fathom that Kendall (Simone’s baby cousin — check out the end of this post for a throwback photo!) is about to graduate and move on to college and everything beyond! We had a lovely summer day for our session at Cardinal Ritter & Marian University, and Kendall is a natural in front of the camera.  Sharing this session now, just makes us even more excited to get back to the Midwest this summer. Congratulations Kendall — we can’t wait to see what you accomplish next. 🙂

Megel Family

Family Session  |  Indianapolis, IN |  June 2016

There was so much to love about this session: seeing a gorgeous family who’s grown to three kids since I first met them years ago, a perfect summer sky, one of my favorite Indianapolis locations, and plenty of duck watching and fish spotting to go around.  Mom and dad have their hands full with these three cuties in the best way possible — there’s no shortage of energy and excitement with these kiddos. And what fun they are! I’m so happy I had the opportunity to capture just a little bit of this story, and I can’t wait to see how the Megels continue to grow and adventure together in the future.

The Dalverny Family

Family Session  |  Indianapolis, IN  |  August 2015

It’s sometimes challenging to photograph your own family, but I got lucky with this crew.  Not only are they incredibly photogenic as a rule, but they tolerate my teasing and antics arguably more willingly than clients I’ve just met. We were also shooting in my absolute favorite location in Indianapolis under a perfectly blue sky dotted by puffy, fluffy white clouds, so it really couldn’t have been much better. It’s crazy to see just how grown up the “kids” are starting to look, and I can’t wait to see some of these images blown up into wall art for their house! I hope these four continue laughing together for many, many, many more years ❤

Head Shot Session  |  Brazil, IN |  August 2015

You may recognize this beauty from her last session with us. In the past year or so, she’s only gotten taller and more lovely. As you can see, little brother has also grown too! With diverse interests and stunning looks, we can’t wait to see what’s next for Miss C.

Senior Session  |  Indianapolis, IN |  August 2015

Senior portraits aren’t always the highlight of any young man’s summer plans, but Anthony was a good sport, and we even had some fun during his warm summer session.  Cathedral High School is one of the most picturesque campuses in Indianapolis especially in August when the trees are full and green.  Despite the mosquitos and warm temperature, we managed to get some great shots! Congrats on what I’m sure will be a fantastic senior year Anthony.

Senior Session  |  Indianapolis, IN |  August 2015

One of the best parts of being a photographer is the chance to see the same clients from year to year.  And each year it’s a little surreal to see “kids” like John suddenly all grown up.  Downtown Indianapolis is one of my favorite places to shoot, but the hustle and bustle of the urban environment is especially great for a stoic session like John’s.  Here’s to a great senior year!

Senior Session  |  Indianapolis, IN |  August 2015

Cathedral High School is one of my favorite places for senior portrait sessions in Indianapolis, partially due to nostalgia (it’s my alma mater and the site of many fond memories) and partially because it’s just so beautiful in any season.  When we met from the first part of Brantley’s senior session it was a lovely summer day with the trees and flowers in full bloom. Since Brantley has been a committed baseball player for four years at Cathedral, we also took some time to get some shots out at the field. Whether or not he continues playing ball, Brantley is going to find success in his next chapters – of that I feel certain.
