As a small business owner I so appreciate the hustle and heart it takes to strike out on your own and start something from scratch, so when the opportunity to partner with a couple of other local #bossbabes came up, I was all too happy to take part. In partnership with Christina – an educator with BeautyCounter – and Lindsay – a professional makeup artist – we provided professional head shots for participants in the first ever Flawless Head Shot Event. The event was a ton of fun, and we ended up with some really gorgeous head shots as well. If you’d like an email with info for the next Flawless Head Shot Event, visit the contact page on our website and let us know!

We are so excited to share this super fun winter session! Jessica and Lillian are the epitome of Generation Z — energetic, moving a million miles a minute always, and completely plugged in to their social media. These two also have an incredible, and totally of this era, story — they met through Instagram because of their mutual love for CheerLyfe (an online retail line that strives to “deliver the most stylish apparel at the highest quality to cheerleaders, dancers, families and the industry professionals” and recruits spokesmodels like these two to promote CheerLyfe products through their personal social media channels) and have since become the best of friends. The day of our session was actually their very first time meeting in person as they live in completely different states (Florida —-> North Carolina), so that made the whole shoot even more momentous.
We asked the girls how they first connected and feel about each other, and their responses were almost identical:
We both absolutely loved CheerLyfe. . . from there we hit it off. We text and FaceTime every single day. She is my best friend in the entire world. what I love most about her is her kindness. She is the sweetest person I know. she has a wonderful sense of humor, and I am grateful to be her friend!
We met through CheerLyfe and just started talking and it turned into everyday FaceTimes! I love how sweet and kind she is, and I know she would do anything for me!
We had a blast meeting these two and are already looking forward to future collaborations (*hint hint) as they continue to build both their friendship and individual platforms! ❤

It’s so great to work with clients who are willing to have a little fun during their session. It’s also a treat to capture some less than stuffy head shots for professionals in all fields. Mirella and Luis contacted us to get some updated shots for their new website, and I certainly hope we’ll get to work with them again very soon! Also, how great is downtown Winter Park? 🙂

Not sure how we always seem to end up with the sweetest clients, but Kelly is just one more gem we were so lucky to shoot with recently. A small business owner (aka Bad Ass Boss Lady) who recently struck out on her own, Kelly was as lovely in person as she looks in all these shots. You can check out her LuLaRoe shop online — I know I can’t wait to make my first order!

You may recognize this beauty from her last session with us. In the past year or so, she’s only gotten taller and more lovely. As you can see, little brother has also grown too! With diverse interests and stunning looks, we can’t wait to see what’s next for Miss C.

When Kaitlin sent me an email to book a session and suggested we incorporate confetti balloons I was psyched. I love when clients have ideas for their sessions — especially when it’s something as awesome as confetti balloons. Combine that with the fact that Kaitlin is absolutely gorgeous, and you’ve got the makings of a stunning session. In fact I think I’m instituting a new rule, all 7am sessions must include confetti!
** Every session needs a great assistant — shout out to Jake for being our expert balloon wrangler and smile prompter.

To write a long post about Carlos’ session would be a bit ironic since he’s generally a pretty quiet and reserved person. That fact alone makes me feel exceptionally pleased that I managed to coax at least a few genuine smiles out of him. And, since Carlos is a professional dancer by trade we had to take at least one photo swinging from a lamp-post a la Gene Kelly.
