One thing is for certain when it comes to little Miss M. . . she’s going to grow up with no shortage of love and attention! Mom and dad both come from incredibly warm and close knit families and also always seem to be surrounded by plenty of friends from church and work. Plus when you’re this cute, you don’t have to work too hard to turn heads! It was a real treat to capture mom, dad, and baby at home especially incorporating so many of their ideas and passions into the shoot. With their artistic genes (Mom’s a professional dancer & dad’s a professional musician), we expect great things from this crew of three and can’t wait to watch their family grow!

Just looked at the list of sessions we haven’t blogged from 2017, and it’s crazy long (and also crazy good)! So, in the spirit of catching up little by little, we’re sharing this gorgeous family from last fall. Liz and her girls showed up in perfectly coordinated (also adorable) outfits, and I knew this was going to be a shoot with some stunning images! It was a lot of fun capturing this sweet family in downtown Winter Park — home to a few of our absolute favorite locations — and as expected their images are beautiful. ❤

These two ❤ Let’s just start by saying that when one of your second shooters calls you to shoot her wedding you get a little bit giddy! I was so honored that Katie wanted me to be a part of her big day especially since I know how well she understands all the ins and outs of a wedding day (and is a fabulous second to work with on all fronts). She and Matt are an infinite amount of fun – as was their wedding party – and despite some touch and go weather, they were both calm and clearly enjoying themselves throughout the day. The morning was full of beautiful details, sweet gestures, and funny moments that really set the tone for the rest of the day, and I hope for the rest of Matt and Katie’s marriage. I could go on and on about this couple and what a blast their wedding was, but perhaps it’s better to just let the pictures speak for themselves. Congrats and much love to the new Mr. and Mrs.

It’s so great to work with clients who are willing to have a little fun during their session. It’s also a treat to capture some less than stuffy head shots for professionals in all fields. Mirella and Luis contacted us to get some updated shots for their new website, and I certainly hope we’ll get to work with them again very soon! Also, how great is downtown Winter Park? 🙂

This family ❤ They could quit their day jobs and become full-time models in a heartbeat! As I’m sure you can tell, they were incredibly relaxed and fun to work with, so my job during our session together was a breeze. I’ve had so many families this fall with brothers fairly close in age – like these two – and they’re especially dear to my heart because they remind me of my own two younger siblings (who are not so little anymore at 20 and 24). I’m so glad this crew decided to share a little time with me; I hope I’ll see them again very soon!

Brittany and Colten had one of my favorite wedding days — gorgeous weather, a laid back bridal party, and a fun and heartfelt reception. So it’s no surprise that I was instantly smitten with their darling little girl. Baby Jane is going to have plenty of personality and no shortage of loving family all around her as she grows up. She was a total trooper through our session, and I can’t wait to see how much she’ll have changed by the next time I see this sweet family.

This family… they made my job so easy! Though they were quick to take direction and happy to give me big beautiful smiles on command, this crew would have been delighted to spend the whole session joking and laughing with one another as if I wasn’t even there. Obviously we’re big believers in having family portraits taken often to capture the changes as little ones grow up and families evolve, but we also love that the hour or two you spend with your photographer is an opportunity to preserve all the laughs and smiles and just what makes your relationships so special year to year. I absolutely loved seeing this family enjoy their time together — it certainly shows in their photos. Do me a favor and blow a few of these up to hang on your walls, okay guys?
